Our next meeting will be Tuesday Sept 30 at 7 pm. We will be meeting at a new location, the Celebrations Event Center, 503 Elm Street, Wamego (new location). Our guest speaker will be a potential candidate for United States Senate. Cookies and beverages served.
Thank you to those attending the last meeting at Toto’s to hear Mr. Joe Molina, Legislative Services Director at the Kansas Bar Association. He shared information on the importance of the upcoming Kansas Senate Resolution SCR1611 which would upend the current nonpartisan system of selecting Kansas Supreme Court Judges and switch to expensive partisan elections. Extreme funding would flow from special interest groups who plan to defund our schools, undermine voting rights, eliminate the right for women to vote, and prohibit reproductive rights. The message to take out to the public and to the voting booth is to VOTE NO to this constitutional amendment next year on the August 4, 2026 ballot.
