This Privacy Policy pertains exclusively to the Food and Farm Caucus of KDP PAC and to those functions on the cooperative website, HarvestBlue.org, which we administer. This policy does not apply to independent action by the cooperative Democratic organizations that appear on Harvest Blue, though links to other group privacy policies may be found on Harvest Blue as such groups wish.

The Food and Farm Caucus of KDP PAC (Food & Farm Caucus, otherwise designated "We" in this policy) is committed to protecting your privacy online. This 10DLC & Toll-Free Privacy Policy is in addition to and supplements all other privacy and data security obligations of Food & Farm Caucus, including our operations, employment and website privacy policies (collectively, our “Privacy Policy”). It describes our obligations and practices of how we collect and use customer consent and opt-ins for our texting and/or email services and programs. This 10DLC & Toll-Free Privacy Policy applies to SMS and MMS texts from Food & Farm Caucus.

A. Categories of Information Collected

We will collect your name, address, phone number, email and indication of consent to receive text (SMS and MMS). We will also gather basic biographic details that you share with us or which are publicly-available to the extent that it assists in tailoring outreach.

B. How Do We Collect Information

We gather information via use of the Contact and Opt-In forms on the Harvest Blue website, through responses to direct inquiries received via email to foodfarmkansas@gmail.com or to individual officers and committee chairs of the Food & Farm Caucus, through sign-ups both written and electronically made at events we attend or host, through fundraising via ActBlue, and other digital, voice or paper communications directed to the Food and Farm Caucus. We make use of voter registration and proprietary voter analytics properly available to us by license through Votebuilder, a resource provided by NGPVAN and the KDP. Privacy policies for such other platforms are linked above.

C. How We Use The Information Collected

Food and Farm's outreach, including both email and mobile campaigns, provide subscribers and selected registered voters with updates, event invitations, donation asks, and voting reminders. In addition to providing the services and complying with our Privacy Policy, we use the information to confirm consent to receive text (SMS and MMS) and to confirm consent to receive emails from the Food and Farm Caucus.

D. To Whom Do We Share The Information Collected

Information obtained, including emails and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, provided that the foregoing does not apply to sharing (1) with vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (and who will not use such information for their own purposes); (2) if we believe disclosure is required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation or to comply with law enforcement or legal process.

Information obtained, including mobile information, will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. We do reserve the right to use our resources to conduct coordinated email and texting outreach campaigns jointly with formally organized county democratic party central committees in Kansas and other formal committees or caucuses recognized by Kansas Democratic Party bylaws. In such cases, we will share email and texting results data, including contact information for responding persons, to assist those organizations in their own capacity building, outreach, and event coordination. Such sharing will only occur if those partner organizations have first established and posted their own privacy policies. A link to same, along with our own privacy policy, will be made available in specific communications made as part of such joint campaigns.

Our texting outreach is conducted on the Scale to Win platform, and certain features of texting operation are governed by Scale to Win's Privacy Policy See also our Food and Farm Caucus Mobile Terms of Service. Our email outreach is conducted directly from our Gmail account using manually curated lists within the Contacts feature. All edits and exclusions are performed manually by volunteers.

E. Applicability to the Harvest Blue website

As administrator of the Harvestblue.org website ("our website"), the Food & Farm Caucus applies the same privacy policy to content posted directly on the website, both in the shared group spaces and on posts contained in the Newsroom or Voices sections. Any online forms directly served by our website will be subject to the policies regarding information collection.

Within such content, however, there will frequently appear links or contact information to reach other groups, such as cooperating partners who share space on our website; guest authors of news posts or op-ed articles in the Voices section; or links to website for third parties, including advocacy groups on various issues or campaign websites for other campaigns. Such links are provided for the convenience of the reader and Food and Farm Caucus makes no representations regarding the privacy policy of those other groups. Any contacts with those groups or visits to other websites are not covered by this privacy policy, though such groups may have privacy policies of their own.

The Harvest Blue website is hosted on the commercial website service platform Squarespace. Certain system-level administration and features, including the management of essential and non-essential cookies, are covered by The host Squarespace privacy policy.

F. Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our information practices and applicable law. We suggest that you periodically review the Privacy Policy for amendments.
