Our Work

We are here for you. The First Congressional District Democratic Committee is formally organized to support the work of the Kansas Democratic Party and Counties and County Parties within the 1st Congressional District. We are here to involve and connect with Democrats across our district. Formal meetings are held periodically during the year, including during the state Democratic conventions at Washington Days.

Recent Accomplishments

CD1 District Special Report (3/2024): Special Committee volunteers came together in 2024 to prepare a guide to campaigning in the Big First - armed with data, local knowledge and best practices.

So far this year, the Big First CD1 Committee officially reorganized (i.e. elected new officers and delegates) in January. We met in full Committee at Washington Days on 3/1/2025 and delegates participated in the State Committee. We were honored to co-sponsor the Resolution Condemning Donald J Trump for His Shameful Behavior against Ukraine. We are organizing to make a major impact in the district in 2025 and 2026.
