Engagement! - Kingman Dems Review 2025

Kingman County Dems have been busy in 2025.

Our annual meeting was held at the Rural Mural Art Gallery in April.  We also held a social painting class there during the summer —- and some actually had a painting worth displaying!

In July we hosted a picnic in Lions Park in Cunningham which was well attended. We had several statewide political candidates as guest speakers, including Anne Parelkar who is running for US Senate and Cindy Holscher, a candidate for Kansas Governor.

In September we had a social gathering at The Hanger in Kingman with a good turnout there. Christy Davis, who is also running in the Democratic primary for US Senate, was our guest speaker. Throughout these events, we’ve been honored to have support from leadership in the Democrats 4th Congressonal district committee.

We have met several times at the Cancun Restaurant in Kingman for socials. Our latest one, November 9th, was our biggest yet with over 2 dozen present.

Kingman County was well represented at Democracy Fest held in Dodge City in September.

Groups of Kingman County residents have attended both No Kings Protests, Good Trouble Protest, and Workers Not Billionaires protests in Wichita, Hutchinson and Pratt. Several people have also attended protests held in Pratt on evenings the Pratt group has sponsored.

Postcards, calls, emails have also been sent out. Several walked the streets for the city of Kingman council elections (informational only and encouragement to vote ).

Cindy Holscher met again with Kingman Dems in November, and we also attending a meeting of Leading Kansas - a non-partisan group working to bring change to Kansas.

Right now, because of the hard work of Chair and Vice Chair, we have 18 precincts represented - the most in Kingman County as anyone can remember. The officers have met at least 6 times to keep organized and plan events.

Kingman County Democrats wish you and your families a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. We will be working strong in 2026.
