Butler Co Dems - April, May and June Plans!

Butler County Democrats are continuing our strong engagement with meetings in April and May meetings plus many upcoming rallies. Meet us for the Spring Fling on April 30th. Plus don’t miss Jess Piper in June!

Our meetings are April 18 and May 16 at the Augusta Public Library, 1609 State Street. The business meeting starts at 10:30. People are welcome to come at 10:00 to have time to socialize. 

The rallies are:

  •  April 18th, Augusta, grassy area in front of Walmart, 12:00-2:00

  • April 25th, El Dorado, grassy area in front of Walmart, 11:00-2:00

  • May 2nd, Augusta, grassy area front of Walmart, 11:00-2:00

  • May 9th, Andover, sidewalk in front of Capital Federal on Andover Road, 11:00-2:00

  • May 16th, Augusta, grassy area in front of Walmart, 12:00-2:00

  • May 23, El Dorado, grassy area in front of Walmart, 11:00-2:00

  • May 30, Andover, sidewalk in front of Capital Federal on Andover Road, 11:00-2:00

Other Big Events:

The Butler County Democrats will have a booth at Spring Fling, Thursday, April 30th from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Spring Fling is a senior resource fair organized by the Butler County Department of Aging. The fair features over 100 booths in 2 convenient locations in El Dorado, the Civic Center, 210 E. Central, and the Butler County Community Building, 206 Griffith.

Jess Piper! - Save the date! On June 20th, 9:00am, at the Augusta Historical Theatre, Jess Piper will be speaking. Per the Missouri Independent, Jess is a political activist, rural organizer, and former educator, best known as the founder and public face of the "Dirt Road Democrats" movement, which focuses on rebuilding Democratic engagement in rural communities.  Stay tuned for more information on reservations.

The Butler County Dems are organizing a fund drive for PBS - we will have information on the upcoming primary and general election, and will encourage voter registration and getting out the vote.
