Alan Albers for Ks House 114
Meet Alan Albers
I am a lifelong resident of south-central Kansas. Having grown up on our family farm, we were taught the value of hard work, honesty, and to be a good neighbor and kind towards everyone. For 30 years, my family farmed and raised cattle. At age 51, I returned to school get my certification in education, and was privileged to teach for another 15 years .
In May, I filed to run for the Kansas House, District 114. We have big issues facing us today, and a few of my priorities revolve around Education, Farming, Water & Community.
But we also need Joy —- the Joy we used to have when the priority was on love and care for all. We can do this together.

The 114th: Kingman, Pratt & Reno Counties
Nearly all my years of ranching, farming & teaching revolved around the communities that make up current House District 114 or nearby. (See the Map) Our district covers all of Kingman County, parts of western Pratt County, and areas of central and western Reno County. The legislature packaged this as a gerrymander, but what they didn’t know was these are all my favorite places. We will be traveling all these familiar roads again to see you.
Come Meet Us
We kicked off June with an energetic picnic hosted by the Kingman County Democrats and a visit with the Reno County Democratic Women. I was also pleased to attend the Pratt County Democrats candidate event back in May and will be making more travels to all 3 counties in the next few weeks. We are making plans now for July 4th, on this 250th anniversary year. If you have events in the district we should know about, please reach out.
